Hey there,
If you care about nutrition, chances are you’ve also thought about your morning routine.
Not the perfect, 5am, influencer version - just something realistic that helps you feel switched on, energised, and ready for the day.
Here’s a simple framework I like (and one our nutritionist agrees with):
1. No phone first thing
Before emails, notifications, or scrolling - give your brain some space. Even 20–30 minutes without your phone helps reduce stress and improve focus for the rest of the day.
2. Water first, always
You wake up dehydrated. Start with a big glass of water - bonus points if you add electrolytes to support hydration and energy (I like the Precision Hydration ones as I sweat a lot in my sleep and training).
3. Movement or exercise
A short walk, stretch, or bit of exercise tells your body it’s time to wake up. I personally always train in the mornings as I feel it wakes me up for the day - plus I hate training in cold, dark evenings after a long day.
4. Protein early
Protein in the morning supports energy, focus, and appetite control later in the day. ELEAT fits here perfectly - quick, high-protein, no prep. I’ve currently got our PB & Banana overnight oats on rotation at the moment with some added sliced banana.
5. Coffee a little later
Instead of caffeine straight out of bed, wait 30-60 minutes if you can. This can help avoid crashes and support more stable energy.
This isn’t about doing everything. It’s about stacking a few simple, easy habits that compound over time.
