I only started following this account a few weeks ago, but I’m already very grateful for the consistently soothing beauty it has injected into my feed. Curated by Dutch painter Anke Roder, @Le_Jardin_Robo posts flora and fauna-themed artwork from all mediums at a pretty steady clip, sometimes as frequently as three times a day. The rare instance where more is genuinely more.

I’m here to tell you that the Fairytale Eggplant is officially the cutest vegetable (that is actually a fruit or, more technically, a nightshade) mostly because it comes with its own tiny little cap that pops off with just the slightest pressure from your thumb. I look forward to buying them at the farmers market every summer because I love denuding them so much. (And also, of course, cooking and then eating them. A simple grill is best, topped with a drizzle of tahini and a sweet syrup of your choice, or served as a quick and lightly sauced stir fry with some rice.)

Speaking of cooking, I just learned about this site that will turn any recipe into a simple card layout. It took me a second to get the hang of it, but now I find the clutter-free experience to be a calming sight as I move through the cooking steps. Definitely not for everyone, but I like it so far.

My absolute favorite pie producer in the whole wide world has a new permanent location and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Maggie McDowell, the culinary queen behind Magpies on Pink Street, has officially opened her own cafe in Delancey, New York. While you can usually find some Magpies at local shops across Delaware, Sullivan, and Duchess Counties (see her site and subscribe to her emails for a full list), this new and permanent location also has coffee, biscuit sandwiches, and other tasty treats every Friday and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The Magpies menu changes weekly based on what’s seasonally available, but I promise that everything she bakes is positively scrumptious, including (or perhaps especially) the savory potpies on offer during fall and winter.

If you’re looking for the ideal all-arounder edible to have on hand for guests, to bring as a hostess gift, or just keep in your bag for who knows what occasion, make it these Rose Hibiscus Delights. They’re gently sweet, lightly tangy, and texturally perfect. 5mg of THC means they’re easily doseable: cut one in half for lighter highs or double up for friends with higher tolerances—plus the elegant, minimalist packaging is an immediate conversation starter.

As Gossamer’s resident Canadian, it’s hard to get across just how angry Trump’s threats have made your otherwise seemingly docile neighbors to the north, but this cover story from the latest issue of NY Mag comes pretty close.
