A small but real part of my life is spent on the phone with someone’s friend or relative and walking them through trying edibles for the first time, or for the first time since “The Incident” (invariably some terrible experience of getting too high). Since I’m on the hook for their happiness and safety, I tell them to start small and ideally with low-dose edibles, as opposed to trying to eyeball cutting a larger one into four or five even pieces. These Strawberry Calm, Sour Apple Active, and Dark Cherry Rest 2mg edibles from Wyld are the perfect starter (or restarter) product: easy to ease in, as well as to level up. Beginners can take them to test the waters, while more moderate consumers usually find them to be a nice way to top up their 5mg doses. (It probably goes without saying, but these are great for parents and grandparents.)

I think I’ve tried every chili crisp/spicy garlicky topping out on the market and can now confirm that, while nothing will ever beat the original by Lao Gan Ma, Mama Teav’s Hot Garlic is a very worthwhile runner-up. It’s extremely crunchy, very salty, and moderately spicy. I prefer the Mild iteration over OG Heat because I find the former more balanced, but I’d honestly be thrilled to have both in the house. (If you have other recs, please send them to me! I’d love to discover some new options, too.)

“A gummy + triumph + tunnel would definitely occupy me for an hour” is the top comment about this synthesizer simulator from Boondoggle, so I figure it might also find an audience here. A fun little thing to mess around with for a bit and, honestly, not all that dissimilar from the music I generally listen to.

If you’re in or around the New York area, it’s worth the $20 ticket price to spend a few hours shopping Not-A-Normal Spring Market this weekend or next. It takes place in the old Barneys on 7th Ave and features more than 80 different vendors across home goods, art, vintage clothing, beauty, and wellness, including two Gossamer faves Medly and Forest Floor chocolate. Maybe just plan to hit those two last.

If you’re in the market for a new smoking accessory (and you already own a Nesting Set), these bubblers from NWTN Home may be exactly what you’re looking for. Like the rest of their glass pieces, the Deco and the Vesper are elegant but simple, at home in nearly any environment. When available, my preference is nearly always an amber hue, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the four colors on offer.

Yes, this recipe is delicious, but I’m endorsing it less for that and more for the fact that it took me about three-and-a-half minutes of active cooking time. Season a bone-in lamb shoulder with lots of salt and pepper, halve a lemon, two heads of garlic, and a bunch of Yukon Gold potatoes and throw it all in a Dutch oven with some fresh oregano before adding an entire bottle of dry white wine and popping it in a low-heat oven overnight. I made it earlier this week and my only criticism is that it smells so delicious that the scent of it braising woke me up in the middle of the night.
