Heights launched in January 2020, in an office in Soho. Joel and I had big dreams for the exciting team we’d be building in Soho but before we knew it, ‘lockdown’ started and that was that.
After several false starts, we gave up the office and went fully remote, with people all over the world. That was great, for a while. We did our team braincare retreats twice a year and loved those too, but 4 years in, we think that maybe, just maybe, COVID is over (don’t jinx it, Daniel).
So, this week, we started trialling an office again, just for those who can easily get to London, want to collaborate, and work IRL. I miss working with people, so does Joel. Not so simple when colleagues live in the USA, Thailand, South Africa, Turkey, etc, but we’re giving it a go for two days a week and we’ll see what happens.
Will we work better together IRL? Are we able to communicate with other humans if there’s no screen between us? Turns out—so far so good!
And besides, we needed to film content of me reading customer reviews about poo, whilst sitting on the toilet so what better way to start working with your colleagues again than that?
