️🤌 Malbon and UNDEFEATED Introduce a Second Collaboration
TLDR: Retailer-turned-lifestyle brand UNDEFEATED teamed up with disruptors of the golf landscape Malbon once again and have taken to rugged Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in the Pacific Northwest to highlight a range of more course appropriate outerwear, base layers and polos in addition to the typical lifestyle staples.
Why It Matters: The Malbon x UNDEFEATED Performance 1/4 Zip Pullover is perhaps the best example of that. It’s a nylon/spandex constructed top with an adjustable cord at the waistband, a clever perforated tally logo for back ventilation and underarm panels which are executed in camo, a theme throughout the collection. The graphics t-shirts, on the other hand, introduce a motto which is repeated on a number of garments: Play Dirty. The screenprinted graphic features a gentleman playing out from a bunker in a vintage poster style juxtaposed with “PLAY DIRTY” in bold block lettering.

🧊 Pluto of St Andrews Presents Its Winter 2024 Collection
TLDR: Equal parts golf outpost, skate shop and online store, Pluto of St Andrews stands out in the modern golf brand landscape for its combination of heritage and ingenuity. The brand cultivates its own image through a series of seasonal collections, the most of recent of which has now arrived.
Why It Matters: Winters in Scotland, although not as cold as other parts of the world, are famously wet and windy. In keeping with this, the lookbook for PoSA’s Winter 2024 collection styles cotton hoodies with GORE-TEX pants and saddle golf shoes and graphic t-shirts layered over long sleeves. There are multiple riffs on the PoSA logo including one constructed from Old English font which shows up on knit beanies and a spin on a royal family crest which is used on the back of t-shirts. In another instance Pluto the Great Dane even shows up as a fire breathing devil red with fury.

📸 Off-White's Golf Collection Launch in Photos

Paris Hilinski, the collection's co-designer, commented on the significance of the timing, saying that she was meant to meet Virgil Abloh at Art Basel before he passed away in 2021.
Why It Matters: The range is geared for both men and women and leans on two opposing color stories. Black with red and gray accents and a more lighthearted combination of cream, sand and yellow. Prices are in line with what one would expect from Off-White with performance polos coming in just shy of $500 USD, a chic golf dress settling at $765 USD and the hero varsity jacket clocking in just north of $1500 USD.
