In a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to Mark Kelly and Fight for the People PAC to power Democratic lawmakers targeted by Donald Trump’s authoritarian tactics.
First, let me explain why your support, especially right now, is so important.
Earlier this week, a grand jury refused to indict Mark Kelly and five other Democratic lawmakers in connection with a video they posted on social media.
And today, a federal judge ruled that the Trump Administration’s actions to punish Sen. Kelly were unconstitutionally retaliatory.
We should all be grateful for these steps in the right direction, but we must continue to be vigilant in holding this Administration accountable.
The Trump Administration’s attempt to silence Sen. Kelly has been an outrageous abuse of power and perhaps its most brazen attack on freedom of speech so far.
The Justice Department is going after Donald Trump’s enemies list. He ran on a campaign of revenge and retribution, and now he is delivering on that threat.
Let me be clear about what this means: Weaponizing the justice system to threaten political opponents is an authoritarian tactic.
And we cannot allow these tactics to be deployed in our country without fighting against them. We need to make our voices heard and remind Donald Trump that the power is with the people.
Sen. Kelly needs to build on the momentum to continue pushing back against the Trump Administration. He needs a massive grassroots movement to fuel his campaign, and that’s why he needs our support today.
So I am asking:
If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly.
If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to fight back against the Trump Administration’s egregious abuses of power, this is it.
Thank you for being part of this fight,
Kamala Harris
