How quickly Trump -- after everything the American people have done and sacrificed to preserve Ukraine's ability to fight for the independence -- would give in for the sake of favor and what he thinks is a friendship with Vladimir Putin.
What happened yesterday was not good for Ukraine, it was not good for our allies in Europe, and it was not good for America.
And watching Republican after Republican celebrate the president and vice president's behavior, it was a clear demonstration that we need a Congress that can be a check on this administration.
