Happy holidays to my fellow travel enthusiasts – no, fanatics!
It’s been yet another wonderful, sometimes wacky and often off-the-grid year of exploration. We kicked off 2024 with plenty of far-fetched travel dreams, many of which we turned into remarkable realities.
Santa-shaped mug in hand, I’m feeling especially warm and fuzzy this week – as are the rest of the Lonely Planet team, who are taking a well-deserved break from delivering only the very best travel inspiration and guidance to you, our wonderful readers. Whether you’ve been a loyal LP customer since Maureen and Tony Wheeler first penned Across Asia on the Cheap, or if this is the first year you’ve ever purchased a guidebook, or if you’re just here for the weekly inspiration in your inbox, we want to say: thank you.
We love to travel just as much as you do, and your support means the world to us. This planet does not feel very lonely with you by our sides.
Seasons greeting to you and yours, and a very happy New Year!
