Inspired by fresh food, From the Market and Seven Fish by Adee Ardon celebrates colour and form. Drawn with thick oil pastels direct onto wood, Adee approached these works through intuition, without sketching or planning.
Rich in texture and spontaneity, these pieces bring a lively & handcrafted energy to your walls!
"When I find the right composition I switch my mind off and only think of this for the moment. It's almost therapeutic, not knowing where it is going to go, deciding on the colors at the moment, learning how to roll with the imperfections and accepting them as what makes the work unique.”
Adee Ardon is an artist and illustrator based in Tel Aviv, Israel. With her main medium being oil pastels, she places emphasis on colour and a context of place. Her naive style and bold color choices augment the reality we all see, making the spectators look at a specific - supposedly mundane - moment in time, and have them see the world through her eyes.
