Hope you had a lovely week. As always I’m going to Wrap-Up this week’s best happenings for your 60 second reading pleasure.
We didn’t realise it at the time, but we unknowingly went for a bit of a theme this week. Team favourite varieties so it’s no surprise, wildly different producers and places of origin, but same fantastic vino. Onwards.
This region is as old as your great nana’s tupperware, a place that has been producing wine since 1838, stopped for a breather in the early 1900's and then was one of the great revivals of the 60's. To this day they are creating some of the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the country, if you’re going to try something from there,
try this, or
even this. There’s also been some new kids welcomed on the block,
give this a go.
Sticking with the theme, a few new sneaky bottles arrived this week from our favorite
mystery man from Tasmania. Never a dull bottle from this guy so I'd suggest adding at least one to your next order. There’s even a
sparkling in the mix,
go get ‘em.
Next up an Allocation Alert from a producer that comes from a terroir that is lorded for
this variety, that infamous minerality, yeah you know the one.
This cult producer is known to produce highly traditional wines with a minimal intervention twist.
This one probably sits as Dylan’s favourite bottle year after year. Big wrap. If you have a chardy lover in your life you could spoil them
with this. You will be in the good books forever.
Oh by the way,
my favourite bottle of 2025 just came back into stock. Beat me to them if you can. Beautiful, alpine Nebbiolo, as if you couldn't guess. So. Damn. Good.
These winemakers produce some intriguing wine in a magical estate they spent 15 years searching for. Think Land Before Time vibes, minus the big land birds and reptiles. They make lovely, detailed
Pinot Noir and
Chardonnay as well as a host of other tasty biodynamic treats.
Give this a go.
That's all for now. See you next week!
