Hi,
I recently read a study about this theory called Sensory-Specific Satiety.
It essentially means when you eat a lot of the same food or fuel, you subconsciously start to reject it.
I’ve talked about flavor fatigue before but this is more than that. Even texture can lose appeal. The more you force yourself to consume, the harder it gets.
If you’re on a high-carb fueling plan, like me–this can be a real problem.
When I’m training longer intervals, I aim to take in 90g of carbs per hour. Inherently, that means I’m consuming a ton of gels.
I love bars, but after 90 minutes of intense exercise, it’s hard to consume any kind of solid fuel when my heart rate is elevated and I’m in a climb.
That’s why I can’t get enough of the Enervit Chewable Gels.
The texture of this “jelly” fuel is perfect. It’s a lot like Jell-O.
Right between a gel and a chew. It’s firm enough that you can bite into it, but it goes down super easy.
It’s not runny or sticky and the flavor is great too. Not overly sweet, but tasty enough that I have no problem taking the whole thing.
I’m not the only one. World champion Tadej Pogačar just used this exact fuel to clinch his fourth consecutive victory at Il Lombardia.
With 30g of carbs per packet, Enervit has come up with the perfect way to break up the monotony without busting your fueling plan.
Now that I’ve added these to my fuel roster, I never go for a ride without them.
Right now, you can try two gels for just $3.
You’re seriously going to love these chewable gels. If you think variety is the spice of life, or at least a key to upgrading your fueling strategy, this is a must-have.
