The Cap of Courage has been around the world with me: on bush planes in Alaska, on horseback in the Frank Church River of No Return, on a remote island in Japan, and an even more remote island in Patagonia. It's always around this time of year that I stop reaching for my baseball cap. Winter is coming. It's Cap of Courage time. What could be better? — PB-S
New for Fall: Signal Orange
The consummate everyday wool knit cap, spun from a fine lambswool yarn. Since our relaunch, we've partnered closely with a small Texas mill to bring this cap to life. The yarn is sourced from South Africa and spun and dyed by a 157-year-old mill in Kinross, Scotland. Seamlessly constructed and finished with our signature X-stitch on a grosgrain ribbon.
Made by Dehen Knitting Company in Portland, Oregon, on machines trusted since the 1940s, this six-button sweater is reinforced with added interior durability and welt pockets—a true testament to American craftsmanship.
High-density Japanese twill, deep patch pockets, and durable construction make this jacket a versatile outer later that works as hard as it looks. Cut and sewn in the USA, it's a modern take on an enduring classic.
