Grab a beverage and settle in for this month’s edition of Art History Happy Hour, an evening of lighthearted lectures inspired by our special exhibition Seydou Keïta: A Tactile Lens. Hear from Phillip and Edith Leonian Curator of Photography Pauline Vermare, collection artist Chester Higgins Jr., and journalist Howard W. French as they reflect on the legacy of this legendary Malian photographer.

Teen Night: One Shot

Explore the power of self-expression at the year’s second Teen Night, a teen-led program centered on art and activism. This evening is inspired by Seydou Keïta: A Tactile Lens, an exhibition of photographs that capture people’s emotions and identities as their country, Mali, was rapidly evolving. Join us for art-making, performances, and much more.
Free; registration is encouraged. Open to ages 14–19.
Drop-In Workshops: Life at Sea
Thursday, March 5, and Friday, March 20, 11 am–5:30 pm
Take a deep dive into Oliver Jeffers:​ Life at Sea and help expand this underwater world. During these drop-in workshops, bring the family to create colorful creatures and structures. Each afternoon centers on designing new ocean life, from coral to 3D fish, to add to Life at Sea.
