- Privacy Complaint Takes Aim at Musk's X Over EU Ads Targeted on Sensitive Data [techcrunch.com]
A complaint has been "lodged with the Dutch data protection authority by privacy rights not-for-profit noyb, accus[ing] X [formerly Twitter] of failing to enforce its own its advertising guidelines." Against X's own terms and conditions, the European Commission found it was able to target individuals based on their political affiliations and/or religious beliefs.
- Kroger Sued for Sharing Sensitive Health Data With Meta [themarkup.org]
"Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the U.S., is being sued in federal court for the unauthorized sharing of personally identifiable information and health data with Meta." Jon Keegan reports on the two class-action lawsuits that have been filed against the grocer.
