This neat little quiz will take you about 15 seconds and tell you where your perspective falls on the green versus blue color spectrum. My boundary line between the two is 93% more blue than the rest of the population. Now I would like someone to make this for identifying blonde versus red hair, specifically strawberry blonde, which I think is a surprisingly controversial thing to categorize! -VvP

I feel like pop ups and stoop sales are normally Verena’s territory, however this one certainly piqued my interest. Happening today at Spike Lee’s Fort Greene headquarters, the sale features limited edition goods and priced-down products from the 40 Acres & A Mule universe. Lee will apparently also be on hand to sign things and, I imagine, forecast the Knicks’ championship chances in the upcoming season. -DW

Welcome to the world, 831 Stories. Brought to you by Claire Mazur and Erica Cerulo of A Thing Or Two and Of A Kind fame, 831 Stories is a new platform and publishing house dedicated to romance. Their first release, Big Fan, comes out on Tuesday, but you can pre-order it now. (I’ve also heard through the grapevine that Books Are Magic’s Smith Street location might have some early copies already available.) It’s a slim novel about a political strategist who connects with her former boy band crush, and when I tell you it’s a perfect beach read, I mean it. I devoured it in one sitting out at Rockaway Beach earlier this week. If it leaves you wanting more, that’s partially by design: There’s an audio epilogue dropping soon. Not for nothing, I also want this hat. -VvP

Danish duo Bremer/McCoy is back with a heady and atmospheric new album called Kosmos. An excellent rainy day band, Bremer/McCoy’s form of tranquil jazz is spare but rich. If you’re unfamiliar, and frankly I can’t imagine they’re all that known, you might want to try listening to their earlier “hits” first, including “Opstigning” and “Forenet.” (This live version of the latter song is also nice to watch.) I’ve only been able to listen through Kosmos a couple of times before writing so my opinion on it is not fully formed, but I can say it’s an excellent addition to their discography, though a little more sparse in sound than some of their previous work. -DW

If you’ve got the stomach for horror movies, please make your way immediately to the closest movie theater to see Strange Darling. You can watch the trailer, but don’t read anything else. A friend and I saw it Tuesday night and agreed it was one of the more thrilling movie experiences we’ve had in a while. It’s not so much that there’s a big twist (though it’s definitely worth avoiding any spoilers), but rather it’s the performances, and Willa Fitzgerald’s in particular, that are spectacular. Shot on 35mm, it’s visually stunning and apparently we have Giovanni Ribisi’s first turn as a cinematographer to thank for that, which I feel a little weird about. If you need an additional endorsement, Stephen King loved it, too. -VvP

I’ve lost count of how many people sent me this episode of The Ezra Klein Show, so I guess my personal brand of “dad stuff and drugs” is stronger than I realized. In case you don’t have a bunch of people in your life texting you media in this vein, allow me to fill that void. -DW
