We’re very excited to announce that our Nesting Set is now available on Food52 as part of their new smoking collection. We designed the Nesting Set to fit as seamlessly into your homes and lives as possible, so the idea that someone can now pick it up alongside a pair of matching glass candlesticks, a handblown fruit bowl, and my absolute favorite non-slip tray (perfect for a stoned Sunday breakfast in bed) is extremely gratifying. Let me know if you need any other Food52 recs—I shop from them a lot. -VvP

Seeing New Yorker staff writer Naomi Fry’s byline on an essay about the real world restaurants that prop up the reality TV empire that is Vanderpump Rules felt like Christmas in July for me. Happy holidays to you, too. -VvP

Poetry books, even by great poets, often only get one printing, and usually a very small run at that. There’s something quite sad about a poet or writer pouring their heart and soul into creating something only for it to briefly see the light of day and disappear into people’s attics, basements, or, even worse, garbage. I’ve been slowly collecting the works of Robert Hershon, a poet whose talent far surpassed what marginal fame he had in life. This requires me to stay on top of eBay, AbeBooks, Amazon, and random little stores or faceless online entities, hoping that an out-of-print Hershon book will rear its head. But you don’t have to go through all that trouble to get to know Hershon. Instead, here are a few of my readily available favorites (if you hate the horrible layout of that last one, you can scroll down and read it here) that are worth a read when you have the time. -DW

I’m writing this on a summer Friday in July, thinking about my plans for a beach day this weekend, which seems like as good a time as any to tell you about my absolute favorite sunscreen, a thing I am devoutly religious about, especially because I like to fry myself silly on the sand. Allow me to introduce you to Dune, a two-year-old, female-founded brand that has very quickly established itself as my go-to all year round. The Mug Guard is perfectly light, sits extremely well under makeup, and moisturizes nicely without making me break out. The Bod Guard has a similar gel formulation in a super cute and cooling pale green. I think most people’s biggest complaint with sunscreen is how sticky it can make you feel—not so with Dune. And if you prefer a higher factor (most of their formulations are 30), their SPF 50 Sporto Spray is the bee’s knees, especially for harder to reach places like shoulders and the backs of your legs. I took advantage of Amazon Prime Day and stocked up earlier this week, but their site offers 10% off your first order which is basically the same deal. -VvP

“Paradisus was the best option for my needs: parents who never vacation, mostly shop at Costco, and harbor a fundamental dislike of restaurants and an extremely low tolerance for what they determine is not worth their money … So here I am, in Cancun, on an all-inclusive vacation with my family through Costco Travel, and it feels like the world of the wholesale warehouse has somehow been extended down the East Coast to the Yucatán peninsula, all the way to the poor woman in a white polo with the laminated COSTCO TRAVEL sign, who’d been sent to meet us outside of the airport.” I had no idea Costco offers all-inclusive vacations, but of course they do. And thankfully Simon Wu reported back from his. -DW
