We just turned 4 🥳! We launched to the world January 6th 2020 and I remember it like it was yesterday.
We trialled our product to an ‘early adopter’ customer list of 100 people—many of them are still around today. My mum was our first official paying customer (thanks mum), but customer #2 was someone slightly better known—the legend that is Stephen Fry.
Thanks to one of our investors (founder of WeTransfer, Damian Bradfield), he had sent our product to Stephen, who loved it and by good fortune/luck, ran out of his supply on Jan 5th, the day before we were launching, so went to the website and couldn’t buy.
I was out at lunch and got an email from Stephen (surreal and exciting) asking how he could buy it. We gave him early access to the website and the rest is history.
When we launched our probiotic, he was also in the first 10 customers, and has never missed a day of either. His testimonial helped us build the kind of trust and credibility that often takes years. Sure, we had the tenacity to get the product to him, but we were lucky. And every startup needs a little bit of luck.
So, on that note, we’re feeling grateful to have survived a tough year, to have grown up quite a lot, to have repositioned ourselves to be a gut and brain health company’ and to have the honour of helping you reach your Heights, for another year.
