Best in Travel 2025 is our annual list in which we choose the top destinations to visit in the coming year, to inspire your future travels.
2025 could be the year you visit the volcanoes, rainforests and beaches of Cameroon, our top country. Or you could be going to Toulouse, France’s coral-colored, culture-rich metropolis, which heads our city list. Those are just the start though.
There’s also the Pacific adventure-travel hot spot Vanuatu (pictured above), the gentle charms of East Anglia at the green edge of England and the buzzy US city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Creating Best in Travel is the definition of a labor of love. Curated from nominations by our global team as well as our contributors around the world, the list is chosen by a panel of travel professionals across multiple fields, backgrounds, cultures and perspectives.
In a world of artificial intelligence, Best in Travel remains a deliberate compilation of human experience. From the seaside bohemia of India’s Puducherry (Pondicherry) to the vineyards of Tasmania’s Tamar Valley, every entry has been suggested, and passionately argued for, by an expert voice.
