Here at Lonely Planet, we’re always asking the important questions. Train or plane? Packing cubes or the rolling method? This coffee shop or that one? Italy or Croatia for a Mediterranean vacay? Very important, see?
Jokes aside, sometimes a second opinion is just what you need when you’re planning a trip – starting with where you should go. Luckily, we have a highly opinionated pool of experts who are willing to battle it out over their preferred destinations (it’s very grueling work).
For a trip Down Under, will it be Australia or New Zealand? Which Indian city comes out on top: Agra or Jaipur? And when it comes to Caribbean getaways, it’s often a toss-up between the Bahamas and Jamaica. I recently debated a fellow editor over the better of two dreamy, summery Massachusetts islands: Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
At the end of the day, there are no wrong decisions. But don’t you just love the drama?
