Hello π
Itβs Pedro
here with the last newsletter of 2025. Happy
holidays to all who celebrate. I just wanna take
a moment to thank you for using Raycast, sharing
it with your friends, and providing constructive
feedback. We canβt wait to show you what weβve
got planned for 2026.
Our Year in Review
A message from Thomas, CEO:
We began this year as a Mac-only app.
We're ending it with iOS and Windows. Yesterday, we shared our vision for the next
chapter of the Mac app, which includes new
features and a refined design that builds on
everything we've learned.
Mid-year, Apple tried to sherlock us with Spotlight. Many predicted it would be the end of
Raycast. Instead, we had our strongest month
ever. The most downloads in our history. It was
scary, not gonna lie. But we leaned in and captured the moment.
Our community grew with us. Over 2,500
extensions now power the workdays of hundreds of
thousands of professionals. People like Tobi LΓΌtke
use Raycast every day. We also saw something
shift. Companies
started viewing Raycast not just as a tool
individuals love, but as table stakes for
productive teams.
Supporting three operating systems with a small
team is challenging. Each platform works
differently. We're still figuring out how
to make Raycast integrate seamlessly with all of
them. But the team has been incredible, shipping
relentlessly while maintaining the quality and
speed people expect from us.
We spent more time with our community this year
and organized 26 events around the world. Our trip to Tokyo
was a personal highlight. Itβs those moments
meeting users, hearing how Raycast fits into
their workflows, and seeing what people build
that keeps us going.
Looking at 2026: Desktop operating systems
haven't fundamentally changed in decades.
They feel stuck. We're setting out to
rethink what a modern operating system for
professionals looks like in the age of AI. Not
replacing macOS or Windows, but enhancing them
with Raycast in ways that make you faster, more
focused, and more capable.
Most of what we accomplished this year isn't even public yet. In 2026, I want to be more open. Share more
of our journey. Show what it takes to build a
world-class product. Peek behind the curtain
with some behind-the-scenes content. If you want
to meet up or have ideas, let me know.
Thank you to the team that made this year
possible. And to everyone building with
us.
Wrapped 2025
This is the perfect time to reflect on how
Raycast has helped you
be more productive and stay in flow. If youβve
been using Raycast for a while, you know the
drill.
Take a look at your Raycast Wrapped to get
insights on your Raycast launches, extensions
usage, your most used apps, developer stats,
time spent on meetings, AI usage, Focus stats,
and so much more!
Look out for the Raycast Wrapped 2025 command, and make sure to share your summary
by clicking the Copy as Image in each section. Weβd love to see your
stats.
Disclaimer: Most of the data displayed is
stored locally, and Raycast does not have
access to it. If you moved between machines
during the year, some of the data might have
been lost. If youβve used Raycast for less
than 14 days, you will not have enough data to
be displayed β but thereβs always next
year!
Extension Highlights
The extension ecosystem is a huge part of what
makes Raycast special, so we couldnβt end the
year without a dedicated mini-wrapped for
it.
Weβre really grateful for everyone who takes
time to build an extension and contribute to
them. Without you, none of this would be
possible.
It blows my mind that Kill Process has been
installed over 260,000 times!
Raycast for Windows
Raycast is officially available for Windows.
This was a huge effort from the whole team, and
I sometimes I canβt believe weβve actually done
it.
This is a new start for Raycast and for Windows
users. To celebrate this release, we made an ad
that reflects the teamβs journey from the first
time weβve used a computer to where weβre at
now. Iβm biased, but I think itβs a beautiful
and authentic ad. Watch βA New Startβ.
Since the release, weβve already shipped a
bunch of new features, and thereβs a lot more
coming.

Raycast for iOS
You can now share your favorite holidays GIFs
straight from the keyboard! This is such a good
addition to the Raycast Keyboard, and something
thatβs been highly requested, both from the team
and our community!
In the latest version of the iOS app, v1.2.2,
Johan also added a little bit of extra festive
delight to the app. Go and take a look! I
absolutely love these little details. βοΈ

New Raycast
As Thomas mentioned, most of what weβve
accomplished in 2026 isnβt even public yet. The
team has been hard at work rethinking Raycast
from the ground up, sweating every
interaction.
This is the biggest update to Raycast yet, and
we canβt wait to share it with you in
2026.
For now, hereβs a teaser video for you to watch. Enjoy!
Support during the holidays
A message from Tirta, Technical Support
Specialist:
Please note that Raycast Support is currently
less available and will continue to be so until
the 5th of January due to the public
holidays.
