Love Me, Out of My Mind, Super/Man: Day 2 Brings More Premieres, Powerful Discussions at Cinema Café presented by Audible
|
Our second day ended with more world premieres, including Love Me, The Greatest Night in Pop, Out of My Mind, and The American Society of Magical Negroes. Beyond Film also began today and welcomed WNBA legend Sue Bird (Sue Bird: In the Clutch) and Jay Ellis (Freaky Tales) for an interesting conversation about the parallels of sports and filmmaking at Filmmaker Lodge.
The world premiere of Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story opened the Festival in Salt Lake City with a bang. Reeve’s children, Matthew, Alexandria, and William Reeve, joined us to share their father’s story for the first time. “It is just the highest honor for this film to be showing at Sundance of all places,” said Alexandra Reeve. “The fact that it is here really means the most to us. In
addition to being passionate about film, he loved a beautiful city in the mountains in the snow. We are so grateful to the people of Salt Lake City and of Park City, and all of you hosting us tonight.”
