Meet the Artist: The Best Summer |
Back at the Festival following the premiere of her 2010 film, Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child, director Tamra Davis returns with The Best Summer, a doc on the 1995 Summersault indie music festival in Australia, where bands like Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys, Rancid, and Beck hit the stage. In our Meet the Artist presented by Acura series, watch Davis tease footage from her film, from finding tour tapes while evacuating
during the 2025 Palisades fire to filming Foo Fighters and Bikini Kill performances. Plus, she shares behind-the-scenes moments from a few of her other films, like CB4, Half Baked, and Crossroads.
