The Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour is Back! |
|
Don’t miss this powerful slate led by Aanikoobijigan (ancestor/great-grandparent/great-grandchild), fresh from the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award: NEXT presented by Adobe, alongside a selection short films including Native Sin and Menil and Her Heart. The films offer a striking, deeply personal look at Indigenous life. The program will screen in select locations in partnership with museums, Native cultural centers, and arthouse cinemas beginning in June.
Building on a legacy that includes filmmakers like Taika Waititi, Sterlin Harjo, and Erica Tremblay, the tour celebrates Sundance Institute’s longstanding commitment to championing Indigenous artists. Support for the tour is provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria for select screenings. |
