Happy (almost) Father’s Day! This year, we asked our staff to pay tribute to the dads, granddads, and father figures in their lives by unearthing a photograph of their dad in his best outfit—and sharing a bit about what his style means to them. |

My dad taught me to hand-wash my leotards with Woolite after every dance class. We’re both a bit type-B, and don’t dance anymore as much as we once did, but this ritual impressed on me that certain special things are worth extra care, time, and attention. —Daria Di Lello, visuals director |
Though I almost certainly wasn’t alive when this picture was taken, I like to think I absorbed some of my sartorial sense from the two men in the middle: my dad and my grandpa. Say what you will about the Burkes—we showed up looking good to ’90s weddings. Pictured here are perfectly fitting suits, top-notch haircuts, and tie knots with dimples so good, even the most hard-nosed of my fashion-editor friends would nod in approval. —Ian Burke, senior commerce editor
