In 1988, students at Gallaudet University, the world’s only Deaf university, were elated when two Deaf candidates were up for president. But when the board of trustees selected the lone hearing candidate for the role, the students took action. In his Meet the Artist presented by Acura episode, Nyle DiMarco details why his documentary highlighting the students’ movement is essential viewing. |
