Hi,
This week I've been testing out some new products at the IRONMAN World Champs in Nice. I'm excited to share these finds with you.

A new solution for cramps: CrampFix - The vinegar approach
I've been working since spring to import CrampFix from Australia. It's the first cramp product I've tried that uses vinegar instead of pickle juice, and for me, it's been way more effective.
The science is different too—instead of just adding more electrolytes, it works through sensory receptors in your mouth to calm overactive nerves. They come in gel-style packets so they're easier to take with you. I've been taking one before hard efforts as prevention, and always have a full packet ready if cramps really start to hit. It has a sharp, almost shocking taste like pickle juice, but obviously more vinegar-forward. Works in 1-2 minutes for most people.
Maui Nui - Protein macros done right
I'm not usually a jerky person, but Maui Nui venison sticks converted me. Everyone's focused on their "macros" these days—protein per calorie—and these are the best I've found.
Wild axis deer from Maui, 9-10g protein per stick, and they're actually soft (not those jaw-breakers I've had with other jerky products). I've been using them more and more for my daily protein goals. Everyone I've shared them with has asked where to get them. Try the Peppered 10 with organ meat if you're adventurous.
Hyperlyte - The high-carb standard
Watching IRONMAN World Champs today, high-carb fueling isn't a trend anymore—it's the standard. I've been testing Hyperlyte all summer and the math is simple: 100g carbs + 1000mg sodium per bottle. Best of both worlds - High Carb Fueling and Optimized Sodium levels.
Two bottles of Hyperlyte is the equivalent of almost 7 gels, I'm sipping this throughout my workout hitting my hourly carb goals. Less expensive than all those Gels and I'm getting a steady stream of carbs instead of spikes. Neutral flavor means I don't get sick of it after 3 hours. I've enjoyed this on all the longer training rides this week.
FLOWBIO - Know your actual sweat rate
This reusable sweat sensor showed me I need way more sodium than I thought—and it varies. Indoor trainer sessions are different from outdoor humid rides. Altitude changes everything again.
FLOWBIO straps to your HR monitor or arm band and tells you exactly what to drink based on your actual sweat data. No patches to buy, completely reusable. Found out my sodium needs range from 800mg to 1400mg per hour depending on conditions. The humidity in Europe was completely different for my sodium levels than the dry altitude of Colorado.
FLOWBIO is a great tool to keep in your toolkit to remove the guesswork from hydration. You can dial in both your fluid intake per hour and your sodium needs in different conditions and locations. Stops the guessing completely.
ZBiotics - This saved me this trip.
I've had more than a few dinners with vendors and partners on this trip, and wine and the occasional cocktail appear on the menu most nights. This used to stress me out—worried I'd wake up wrecked and unable to sneak in training the next morning. ZBiotics has been the hero of this trip. No issues despite the libations.
Orthomol Immune - Travel essential
This is my "don't leave home without it" product. The B12 drink shot has kept me going. I took it two days before traveling and every morning since. The jet lag has been manageable, energy (from the B12) has been great, and I'm not sick—the first overseas trip in a year where I didn't get sick.
Ketone-IQ - Jet lag fighter
When I landed in Europe, the first thing I did was take a Ketone-IQ Green Apple Shot with 100mg of caffeine. This has been my go-to for this trip, keeping me focused for work and meetings instead of nodding off from jet lag. Highly recommend it for any travel with time changes.
What else is in my routine this trip:
☀️ Morning:
🏃♂️ Training:
☁️ Sleep & Recovery:
- Supa Power Protein Shots have been amazing for keeping up my daily protein intake without a blender
- Dream Shot every night before bed has kept me sleeping deeply. Not sure if it helped much with jet lag the first night, but I did sleep deeply and avoided all those middle-of-the-night wake-ups that usually plague my travel
