Hi,
I'm sure you've heard of colostrum. It's all over my socials. All of that colostrum is from animals (cow, goat, etc.). We looked at carrying a variety of animal colostrums, but I couldn't find any data to really support their efficacy in humans.
Worse, I ran into the potential that your body may actually treat these animal colostrums as foreign bodies and attack them. If something has good efficacy, I'm willing to sell it. But I draw the line at anything that has the potential to have a negative effect, regardless of the efficacy.
To clarify, we are talking about "breast milk" – but take off your blue blockers and pause your young blood transfusion. I'm not talking about shopping for actual human breast milk on eBay or the dark web. I kid you not, I've seen athletes do this.
What gives is "life" in breast milk is the lactoferrin protein. And in human breast milk, it is 5000x more present than in animals. It has all sorts of benefits. If there was one "miracle supplement," it would be pure human lactoferrin, just as it helps babies.
Almost three years ago, I was introduced to an inspiring entrepreneur, Laura Katz, the CEO of Helaina. She said she was going to use bio-engineering to make a bio-identical human lactoferrin in a lab. Then I waited, and waited. She raised over $83M in funding to make it happen. Then I waited some more.
Today, I'm excited to say we are the first in the world to launch a bio-identical human lactoferrin product. I called it Revitalize by SwissRX. It is made with the patented ingredient (48 patents) called Effera from Helaina. To clarify, not actual breast milk, in case you were wondering.
The most talked about benefit is the ability to maintain iron levels with intense endurance training. One lactoferin study even showed it reduced lactic acid levels in female runners after a 3000-meter run versus a placebo group.
Another study shows that we naturally increase our lactoferrin levels up to 45% in our blood serum after intense exercise, so Revitalize is just adding more to what our body is already doing.
Personally, it's the immune benefits (why we say to keep breastfeeding babies if you can) and also the gut health benefits that have impressed me. In speaking with our top athletes, they all agree it is the immune and gut benefits they are most excited about.
If you aren't convinced yet, here are the other key things to consider. Based on what I know now, I would never recommend animal colostrum to anyone at this point. Not only are the levels of actual lactoferrin normally very low, it also breaks down immediately in the stomach, where Revitalize's Effera can last 10 minutes in the stomach so it is properly absorbed.
A bonus is that it is also dairy-free, so even if you are allergic to or sensitive to dairy, you can use Revitalize.
If you wonder why I'm talking about so many "new" supplements this summer, I sense a revolution is happening. The old world supplements were more "multi-vitamin" approaches where you had dozens and dozens of low-dose ingredients. A shotgun approach, if you will.
Today we are seeing bio-engineered supplements come to market that are an entirely new generation of formulations and efficacy. They have lower numbers of ingredients in much higher quantities. Many of the ingredients are novel and mimic proteins/peptides in our body already.
Just this summer we have launched:
-
SwissRX Synthesis: Strength-building peptide derived from Fava beans that activates your mTOR pathways that help you build strength and recover from hard workouts.
-
ZBiotics: A drink shot with a probiotic bacteria that has been engineered to digest acetaldehyde in your gut, so if you have a few alcoholic drinks, you can avoid most of the side effects.
-
Dream Shot: A drink shot that 69% of our initial buyers last month reported getting a better nights sleep! That's huge. Dream Shot uses a large concentration of key ingredients like Tart Cherry, Glycine, and Magnesium, but the real workhorse is a new peptide called Peptisleep that reduces cortisol levels at night so you can stay asleep or fall back asleep if you do wake-up.
-
Nitric Oxide Pro by SwissRX: This new formulation, originally for patients with high blood pressure, uses a garlic-based formula (don't worry, you don't get bad breath) that allows your body to maintain high nitric oxide levels for a full 24 hours and it is only 2 pills per day.
Now we have Revitalize as your daily comfort blanket to swaddle you in immune and performance benefits and keep your tummy happy.
Revitalize Timing Recommendation: Take it on an empty stomach for optimal absorption, or mix it with your post-workout shake. Make it part of your daily routine, it's only one small capsule.
Your body recognizes it as native lactoferrin, so there's no immune rejection. You can start today and know it's working from day one.

P.S. Curious why are they investing $83M (and more) in the quest for a bio-identical human lactoferrin? The primary and massive market will be the supplement infant formulas to make them closer to actual human breast milk. We, as athletes just get to benefit from it first!
