Hey friend,
This past month has been one of the hardest. Navigating the next chapter of Doughp comes with a lot of heavy, complicated emotions.
But then I open my inbox and see messages like this one: "...my husband is one year sober and what a journey that has been. I’m proud of you for sharing so much rawness throughout."
I had to pause and take a deep breath when I read that.
When I started Doughp nine years ago, yes, I wanted to make ridiculously good cookie dough. But deeper than that, I wanted to create a platform.
I wanted to prove that recovery isn't a dark secret. That being sober is a superpower, and that being raw and real about the hard stuff gives others the permission to do the same.
Hearing about a partner celebrating one year of sobriety, or someone feeling less alone because of our Mental Health Mondays... that is everything.
It is the greatest reminder that Doughp was always more than just a sweet treat.
It became a story of resilience. It became a space for breaking stigmas, supporting each other through the messy parts of life, and sharing love when people needed it most.
Thank you for letting us be part of your journeys, your sober anniversaries, and your real, raw moments.
Be gentle with yourself this weekend.
xo,
Kelsey
