Hey friend,
I know you’ve been waiting to hear what our sweet surprise was for this month. I’m so sorry it’s not the celebration we planned.
Doughp turns nine years old this month. And instead of throwing a party, I’ve been sitting with some really hard news, trying to figure out how to say it.
So here it is.
Doughp is closing.
Nine years ago I started making cookie dough in my apartment. I decided to bet on myself and walk away from a decade in tech to go all in on growing Doughp. While everyone thought I was having a quarter life crisis, I genuinely believed I could build something that mattered.
And I did. We got on Shark Tank. Twice. We got into 2,500 stores. We built something together... a community of people who used cookie dough as a reason to talk about recovery, about mental health, about getting through things you didn’t think you could get through.
But we also went through a pandemic. A bankruptcy. More pivots than I can count. And right now, we have about six months of cash left.
We’re going back out to try to find a buyer who believes in this brand and wants to carry it forward. I’m not totally giving up hope. If the right person sees this and thinks there’s something worth saving here, my inbox is open. kelsey@doughp.com.

But in the meantime, this is your last chance to get the dough you love.

Every single order right now helps us close this chapter the right way. Stock your freezer. Send someone a gift. Get the flavor you’ve been meaning to try.
This community has meant more to me than I have words for. You showed up for the mission. You sent me messages on days when I really needed them. You bought cookie dough and somehow together we turned that into real conversations about recovery, about grief, about getting through things you didn’t think you could get through.
Doughp was my first baby. My whole identity for years. I put everything I had into it and I’d do it all over again.
Thank you for every order. Every share. Every kind word.
I love you guys. I really do.
As always, Have a Doughp Day... ❤

P.S. On a personal note, Iz & I have found our way back to our faith during this season and it’s carried us more than I expected. Whatever you lean on when life gets hard, I hope you have it close right now.
